Emily M. Owens, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in CBT-based approaches for those with severe and persistent mental illness. Dr. Owens earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from UCLA and trained at the West Los Angeles VA Hospital serving homeless Veterans. She currently works as a psychologist at Cognitive Behavior Associates in Los Angeles, CA where she provides individual psychotherapy for adults and adolescents. In addition to this work, she is also an Assistant Clinical Professor with the UCLA Department of Psychology and the Director of Training at the Cognitive Behavior Therapy Institute, where she trains and supervises clinical psychology graduate students and social work interns in formulation-driven CBT and CBTp.
