Katherine Eisen is a Clinical Associate Professor and CA Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine. She works with the INSPIRE clinic at Stanford, with a focus on early intervention for psychosis, and is the Inpatient Director of Psychological Services for the acute inpatient psychiatric units at Stanford Hospital. Her research, training and clinical interests center on implementation and dissemination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for psychosis (CBTp), and other recovery-oriented, evidence based psychosocial interventions targeted toward supporting individuals living with psychosis. This includes providing training and consultation in CBTp in academic, hospital, and community-based settings, developing and delivering clinical training as part of EPI-CAL (California’s Center of Excellence for early psychosis care), and work with the North American CBTp Network, as co-lead for the Early Intervention Working Group and as Member-at-Large for the steering committee. Dr. Eisen is also interested in integrating CBTp-informed interventions and recovery-oriented approaches into inpatient psychiatric care.
